Since November 2020 I've been in collaboration with Bay Area-based dancer, musician, and artist, Galen Rogers. Our work is rooted in the experience of the body as it relates to sun and artificial light. We quietly insist that small gestures, ambiguous alignments, and little inconsistencies can be sublime experiences. We emphasize the haptic qualities of light, the way we touch light and are touched by it. Our work is meant to quiet the attention of the dancers and the audience so we may see, feel, and perceive in new ways.
